We never recommend leaving young children unsupervised with dogs, and we cannot guarantee the behavior of dogs with children, other pets, or cats. Recommendation on suitability of placement with children by their ages is based on behavioral observations including energy level and response to body handling. Our cat test should be used as a general-purpose screening only to rule out overt aggression we always recommend caution when introducing dogs to cats in the home. She mixes well with other dogs in a kennel and is indifferent towards cats in the shelter environment. She is food motivated, but does not yet know any commands. Ollie walks well on a leash with no pulling. She also loves to hop up into your lap for hugs and kisses. She is loose and wiggly when greeting, and comes when called for snuggles. She is able to climb fences and should not be left unsupervised in a fenced yard. She has a high energy level, so she would benefit from an active home with plenty of space for daily exercise and play. Ollie is a 1 - 2 yr old female Shepherd mix.
